The Tack Room is so comfortable you may never want to leave! The stone cottage is one of a handpicked collection, providing a luxurious standard of accommodation for up to seven guests in three bedrooms. It sits above Nefyn Bay on the north coast of the Llyn Peninsula and benefits from spectacular sea views. The house is ideal for families and friends.
The Llyn Peninsula is stunning. The region is protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and has a timeless beauty that appeals in every season. A fantastic way to orientate yourself is to walk along the Wales Coast Path which winds its way around the peninsula's perimeter, overlooking the beaches, coves and harbours which face either the Irish Sea or Cardigan Bay. Alternatively, jump on a bike and cycle around quiet lanes and through pretty villages. One of the benefits of a holiday on the Llyn Peninsula is that its size makes it easy to navigate and experience, even if you are only visiting for a short time.
Its shape means that most beaches either face north over the Irish Sea or south over Cardigan Bay. Visitors have a choice if they want to sit on a sandy beach and have gentle waves lap at their toes, or whether they prefer the northern breezes that make the surfing and windsurfing conditions consistently some of the best in the country. Some beaches to consider for your itinerary include Morfa Nefyn, Trefor, Abersoch and Pwllheli. It's possible to take a boat trip into Cardigan Bay to see the resident seal and dolphin population, or to Bardsey Island nature reserve.
Eating out is a pleasure on Llyn as there is an excellent variety of pubs serving seasonal local produce, while every Wednesday Pwllheil holds the biggest outdoor market in North Wales. Slightly further afield, days out can include marvelling at the scale and stature of Caernarfon Castle, admiring the pretty coloured buildings at Portmeirion, and taking the Victorian train to the top of Mount Snowdon and having lunch in the clouds. It's possible to hire bicycles in Aberdaron and the golf courses on the peninsula all welcome visiting players. Whatever you love to do, you can do it here.
The Tack Room is one of a collection of eight beautiful cottages that are available to book individually or with one or more of the other properties to accommodate bigger groups of friends or extended families. Please see the owner's website for more details.
