Sygun Cottage is in one of the most serene spots in Wales. Surrounded by 48 private acres within the Snowdonia National Park, the one-bedroom cottage offers couples peace, privacy and the ability to breathe out and completely relax. Beddgelert and welcoming pubs like Tannronen or the Saracens Head are less than a mile's walk via a traffic-free footpath beside the Afon Glaslyn River, which is just one of many routes accessible virtually from the front door.
Beddgelert is a picturesque village with an excellent variety of amenities including several pubs, cafes and a well-stocked local shop. Businesses are adept at catering for the needs of visitors, and you will quickly find everything you need to enjoy your holiday whether it's a pint of milk and some fresh eggs that you can scramble in the cottage's kitchen for your breakfast, or a full Sunday dinner served to you with all the trimmings.
Comfortable shoes are a must at Sygun Cottage because you will not want to miss walking through this spectacular scenery. The grounds around the cottage feature woodlands and streams and mighty mountain peaks beckon. Mountain bikers love this part of Wales for its thrilling trails, and the area is also a favourite with climbers, cavers, anglers and anyone who enjoys natural beauty on a grand scale including underground at the Sygyn Copper Mine.
A mere 15-minutes south of Sygun Cottage, Porthmadog gives visitors the opportunity to experience a different part of north Wales. The vibrant harbour town attracts thousands of holidaymakers every year, who come to enjoy its pretty views, excellent ice-cream parlour and a wide choice of shops and supermarkets. A short distance from the town, Morfa Bychan, or Black Rock Sands, is a Blue Flag Beach with a vast stretch of flat sandy shore and clean water. Also within reach for a day trip are Caernarfon with its magnificent castle, and the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway.
The owners of Sygun Cottage have created a beautiful environment where you and your loved one can be freed from the distractions of daily life to focus on each other and on the pleasure of spending time together.

Sygun Cottage is a detached stone property with accommodation all on one level.
Outside: A private garden surrounds the cottage and there is private off-street parking close to the door.
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, sheets and towels (not beach towels) are included. Short breaks are possible at any time of year, with a minimum stay of three nights over the weekend and four nights during the week. Smoking and pets are not permitted. Unfortunately no children (babies in arms are welcome).
