West Soar House provides 5-star luxury in a stunning location, sleeping up to ten guests in five beautiful bedrooms. It enjoys magnificent ocean views and is a short walk away from the sandy beach at Soar Mill Cove. Located next to the Soar Mill Cove Hotel, guests have use of the hotel’s fantastic bar and restaurant, which has been awarded two rosettes for culinary excellence by the AA, and leisure facilities. Combining the space and privacy of a self-catering holiday house with the convenience of a hotel, it is hard not to fall in love with West Soar House.
From keen walkers to wildlife enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys the outdoors, you will be wowed by the location of West Soar House. With 2,000 acres of National Trust countryside on your doorstep there are endless miles of footpaths to explore. Head out in either direction on the South West Coast Path and you will find stunning beaches where you can swim, sail, surf, kiteboard and fish.
Malborough is only two miles away - you can walk or cycle if you want to leave the car behind. Malborough is a charming village with a friendly pub, The Royal Oak, which is popular with locals and visitors, and a good alternative if you do not feel like cooking or eating at the restaurant next door. Kingsbridge is an attractive market town with a high street lined with independent boutiques, antique and curio shops, and cafes, pubs and restaurants serving food using regional ingredients. A walk to the Start Point Lighthouse is an excellent way to spend a few hours on a sunny day, but there is a car park around three-quarters of a mile from the building so you can drive most of way if you prefer.
Salcombe, with its gorgeous beach and harbour, is less than five miles from West Soar. It is a vibrant town with excellent amenities, shops, pubs and cafes. Salcombe is a good place to hire a boat or canoe so you can explore the coastline by water as well as by land. Dartmouth, another thriving town with an active sailing community, is around 15-miles away, giving seafarers even more opportunity to indulge in their passion.
Whether you are looking for a traditional bucket-and-spade holiday experience, a get together with family and friends, or you simply want to enjoy the best the south coast can offer, West Soar House is a luxuriously comfortable holiday home that is available for bookings all year round.

Accommodation Comprises:
West Soar is next to the Soar Mill Cove Hotel offering dining and a swimming pool (small fee required). Although it is near the hotel, the house is set in its own grounds that are peaceful and private and the fully renovated and modernised.
Ground Floor:
All bedrooms include Devon wool duvets and British-made Hypnose beds.
First Floor:

Outside: The garden is fenced to make it safe for children and dogs. The patio looks out towards the sea and has garden furniture and a barbecue - perfect for the summer. An outdoor hot tub is ideal for soaking aching muscles or simply indulging in some "me" time. There is off-street parking for five cars. Guests are welcome to use the leisure facilities at the neighbouring hotel. These include an indoor heated swimming pool, grass tennis court and children's play area.
Additional Information: The property has WiFi and central heating throughout. All utilities, linen and towels are included, though guests are kindly requested to bring towels for the beach and swimming pool. A cot and high chair are available on request. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at a charge.
