Threshing Barn gets rave reviews from guests. It's easy to see why. Located in a peaceful location only a few miles from Barnstaple, the traditional North Devon holiday cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms and is dog-friendly. It's great for families or couples who like the extra space, with guests loving the comfortable accommodation and onsite amenities, including a swimming pool and a games room. Threshing Barn is one of five charming self-catering cottages on the family-run Lower Hearson Farm in Swimbridge, two miles from the friendly Castle Inn pub and only half an hour's drive from the coast. Guests can book multiple cottages for a holiday with extended family or friends, letting you enjoy time with your loved ones while having your own space.
Lower Hearson is in a rural location with beautiful views during the day and wonderfully beautiful skies at night as lack of light pollution allows the stars to shine brightly. Owners Anna and Tim are happy to open their smallholding to visitors, even offering animal feeding sessions that are particularly popular with children. Acres of grounds include a paddock, gardens, and a woodland walk with a stream so that the kids can go as free-range as the chickens! The heated outdoor pool and games room make it easy to keep the kids entertained whatever the weather.
Westward Ho! and Saunton Sands are the two closest beaches, being around 12 miles from Threshing Barn on either side of the River Taw estuary. You're also close to Tunnels Beaches, Lee and Ilfracombe, so you can sunbathe on a sandy beach or take your bucket and explore rock pools and pebble-strewn coves. North Devon has a wealth of family-friendly attractions like The Big Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure Park. Barnstaple is great for a spot of shopping, while Lynton and Lynmouth are good for for sightseeing and browsing in all seasons.

Threshing Barn is a stone cottage with a traditional layout and accommodation over two levels. It's comfortable and welcoming to guests of all ages. A well-behaved dog is welcome.

Outside: Threshing Barn is a semi-detached cottage with parking. Guests can use the garden, swimming pool (between May and September), games room, and picnic areas.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, and bed linen are included. Bath towels are available to hire, but guests will need to bring beach and dog towels. Smoking is not permitted.
