From the enclosed garden enter Nuthatch into the dining room - beamed and spacious enough for the antique table and dresser as well as a double settee. And you can (literally) take a pew to enjoy a cuppa. The dining room leads to a well equipped kitchen with a view of the cottage garden. Then a lobby leads to a generously sized lounge with sofa, two armchairs and plenty of space for five to chat, or enjoy TV. From there go through into a small lobby with downstairs cloakroom and further door to the garden with outside table and seating. Your access to upstairs is from the small hall adjoining the dining room. The second bedroom has a superking bed (convertible into twin beds) and a large ensuite bathroom. the landing leads to a spacious second bathroom with shower as well as bath. Adjoining the bathroom the light, airy master bedroom has a double bed plus one single bed. The summerhouse and the shared gardens are yours to sit in and soak up the sunshine or play darts, croquet or ball games.
Lea Hill, just four miles from Axminster, provides a warm welcome to the pretty village of Membury, a tranquil East Devon parish where the three counties of Devon, Dorset and Somerset meet. We have seven acres of grounds and gardens set against a backdrop of wonderful scenery from which delightful views are enjoyed across the valley. Our friendly community is one of a very few parishes in the country still celebrating the traditional festival of Oak Apple day in May .

Close at hand is the World Heritage Coast and several attractive resorts such as Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. Venture further afield and we are an ideal centre for discovering a delightful, unexplored corner of Devon bordering both Somerset and Dorset. To the North the quiet roads and charming villages of the Blackdown Hills ANOB, the Somerset levels and Vale of Taunton. Or go South to enjoy the World Heritage Jurassic Coast—from Seaton's tramway along the wildlife-rich Axe estuary to Charmouth's visitor centre and fossil hunting. Sand and shingle, rocks or promenades—there is variety enough at our World Heritage Site coastline to interest all ages. Many attractions lie within 40 minutes' drive so there is plenty to do whatever the weather.
