"A charming holiday let , everything there that you need for a relaxing break we’ll be back again soon." A guest in October 2023.
You enter Kingfisher from the pretty paved terrace with splendid views of the shared gardens and thatched Summerhouse. The outdoor bench set, catching the morning sun, is perfect for a leisurely breakfast or lunch. Open the cottage door into a light and airy kitchen diner with an adjoining utility room. An ensuite twin bedroom (bath and over bath shower) has beds which can be linked on request into a superking bed. Another outside door leads to a small grassed garden with a bench to enjoy the evening sun.
Beautiful views over the valley greet you in the comfortably furnished upstairs lounge. A door from the lounge leads to the box room with a small single bed and another to a lobby and another ensuite bedroom. Use of the single bedroom is restricted to adults or children over seven.
Lea Hill cottages are remote, yet within easy reach of the Devon market town of Axminster. Venture further afield and we are an ideal centre for discovering a delightful, unexplored corner of Devon bordering both Somerset and Dorset. To the North the quiet roads and charming villages of the Blackdown Hills, the Somerset levels and Vale of Taunton. Or go South to enjoy the World Heritage Jurassic Coast—from Seaton's tramway along the wildlife-rich Axe estuary to Charmouth's visitor centre and fossil hunting. Sand and shingle, rocks or promenades—there is variety enough at our World Heritage Site coastline to interest all ages.
We know that many families are on a tight budget which is why we keep prices extremely low. This is possible because we ask guests to bring their own towels and bedlinen and extras like toiletries. You also pay your own fuel. Our basic Winter prices allow for this extra expense. You will find very competitive rates and excellent value for money.
