Little Yeo is a gorgeous self-catering cottage near Bideford in North Devon, surrounded by extensive private gardens with easy access to footpaths and cycling trails that make exploring this region relaxed and easy. The cottage can accommodate up to three people in two bedrooms, with a layout that suits couples on a romantic break, small families enjoying combining the pleasures of the countryside with the excitement of the seaside, and solo travellers who want time and space to recenter and recharge. The cottage sits in the grounds of South Yeo, an elegant Georgian property where the owners run a boutique bed and breakfast.
The cottage's location is between the coast and the countryside, giving you lots of options for fun days out. Westward Ho! is year-round perfection. The Blue Flag beach has two miles of sandy shore and is a favourite of locals and visitors who love to surf, kitesurf or paddleboard. There's a tidal rockpool for splashing around or swimming laps, and a good choice of cafes, pubs and other amenities. The South West Coast Path (only two and a half miles from the cottage) means that you don't have to step onto the sand to appreciate spectacular coastal views. The stretch around Little Yeo can be a challenge in places, but the hills reward walkers with panoramic vistas over Bideford Bay. There's a favourite loop that climbs over Kipling Tor, named after Victorian author Rudyard Kipling, where you'll certainly earn a restorative Devon Cream tea for your efforts.
Day trips can include sightseeing in some of North Devon's pretty fishing villages like Appledore and Clovelly; visiting stately homes and gardens like those at Arlington Court and RHS Rosemoor; and cycling through country lanes or along the Tarka Trail (just three miles away). Shop in Barnstaple's Victorian Pannier Market; try the rides at The BIG Sheep or Milky Way Adventure Park; or discover the beauty of Exmoor National Park by saddle, whether that's onboard a bike or horse.

Little Yeo is a single-storey barn conversion with a step leading up into the cottage and a private garden. Because it sits on private land, there is no passing traffic. One well-behaved dog is welcome through prior arrangement with the owner.
Outside: The cottage has a private garden that includes lawn, a terrace with garden furniture, and mature plants and trees. It's a peaceful slice of heaven where you can drink your cup of tea to the accompaniment of birdsong. There is off-street parking and the owner can provide secure storage for bikes.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are all included. Guests to provide beach and dog towels if they are required. Smoking is not permitted. Please speak to the owner should you have friends or family who want to visit whilst you are on holiday and stay in the B&B.
