Whether you're lounging in your super king-sized bed, relaxing in your outdoor hot tub, or floating on the water in your rowing boat, you're surrounded by serene water views.
Cullompton is a lovely rural village in the heart of the countryside. North of Exeter, west of the Blackdown Hills, and under an hour's drive from Exmouth and the South Devon coast, it's hard to imagine a better spot for a romantic self-catering break in the southwest. We'd understand if you wanted to cross the footbridge to your island and not set foot off the property for the entirety of your stay. Imagine lazy mornings in bed, rowing on the lake and soaking in the hot tub under the stars, never seeing another soul. However, if you want to see the local area, you'll find miles of footpaths, cycling routes and bridleways to help you explore.
South Devon is a beautiful landscape. The biggest community centres around Exeter, a historic city with an ancient cathedral at its heart. We recommend Tiverton for food shopping, especially if you're there for the Farmers' Market that runs on the first Saturday of every month. Also nearby are Exmoor National Park, Dartmoor Zoo, wellness facilities at Heyford House, and excellent independent restaurants making good use of locally sourced produce.

Kingfishers is a single-storey holiday cottage on a private island in the 35-acre exclusive Woody Estate. Only accessed by a footbridge, it offers blissful views and unrivalled privacy for couples.
Outside: As you walk over the footbridge, you're greeted by a pretty cottage garden complete with its own moor and rowboat. The deck has sunloungers, a gas barbecue and a hot tub, and there is ample parking.
Additional Information: All bed linen, towels, utilities and WiFi are included. Short breaks are welcome. Pets and children are not accommodated. The property is non-smoking.
