From the wooden sundeck, guests can watch boats lazily drift across Windrush Lake in summer and visiting birds foraging amongst the reeds in winter. The cottage is part of the Isis & Windrush Lake development and guests have access to an excellent array of amenities including two all weather tennis courts and a childrens’ adventure play area. The Boathouse restaurant, part of the De Vere Hotel complex, is just a short stroll away. The friendly village of South Cerney, with the friendly 16th-Century Royal Oak pub, is also within walking distance.
Windrush Lake is one of over 150 lakes in the Cotswold Water Park, which is England's biggest wetland nature reserve. The Cotswold Water Park spreads out over 40 square miles and covers 14 different Cotswold villages, such as South Cerney, Cerney Wick and Somerford Keynes. Most of these villages have their own traditional country pub with beer gardens, ideal after a day exploring.
The facilities at the Cotswold Water Park are excellent. As part of the Windrush Estate, guests are close to the children's adventure park, games room, three all-weather tennis courts, a croquet lawn, and a flat area of garden with football goals and a volleyball net. Windrush and nearby Isis Lake have seasonal carp and trout fishing, and those with a boat can set sail on Windrush. Oxford and Stratford-Upon-Avon are both about an hour's drive from the cottage, while picturesque Cotswold towns and villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are even closer.

Outside: The deck is an extension of the living room and furnished with a table, chairs and gas barbecue so that guests can enjoy an alfresco lifestyle. There is parking outside the cottage with more available in the nearby overflow carpark.
