Cow Byre 1 and 2 are both charming cottages where up to five people can sleep in two very comfortable bedrooms in each cottage. They are part of a collection of three lovely self-catering cottages in the grounds of Beeches Farmhouse, only a mile from the centre of Bradford-on-Avon and just half a mile through a field and along a footpath from The George pub which, like the cottages, is dog-friendly. Cow Byre 1 and 2 can each be booked individually or together for groups of up to 10 guests, so they are ideal for everyone from solo travellers and couples, to groups of friends and extended families celebrating a special occasion. An additional five separate en-suite bedrooms may also be available to rent for larger groups of up to 30.
Bradford-on-Avon is an attractive town with loads of character and history of importance in Britains' woollen and rubber industries. Keen historians can book a guided tour around key buildings while the museum on Bridge Street, which has free entry, is also an excellent place to find out more about the people and events that shaped the landscape. Train buffs may be familiar with the early-Victorian train station that has barely altered since it was constructed in 1848. Stop by the Lamb's Yard on Wednesday for the weekly market, or browse the shops in the Shambles which was where the market took place in medieval times. Bradford-on-Avon has an excellent choice of places to eat, drink and shop, as well as a calendar of fun events that range from open gardens to an unforgettable floating Christmas market.
In addition to having plenty to offer visitors, Bradford-on-Avon is the perfect place to stay while exploring Wiltshire and the Cotswolds. The cottages are only eight miles from the historic city of Bath and is also convenient for Bristol, Salisbury and Stonehenge. Local attractions include Longleat Safari Park and Wookey Hole, with the owner able to arrange discounted entry for guests of Cow Byre. Bike and boat hire are available locally to help guests explore this peaceful part of England.
Cow Byre 1 and 2 are available for bookings all year round so please see the owner's website for information.
