The Stables sleeps six guests in three bedrooms (all en-suite) and is a beautifully converted Victorian stable on a family run working farm in a wonderful part of Wiltshire. With a large open plan kitchen, sitting and dining area with open beams, oak floor and modern conveniences (including great Wi-Fi), this stylish holiday home is an ideal retreat at any time of the year.
Located at Manor Farm, The Stables is situated in East Grafton, a pretty village in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Well located, this charming holiday cottage provides an ideal base for exploring the area with the Wilton Windmill, Savernake Forest, the famous Crofton Beam Engines and the Kennet and Avon Canal all within just two miles. Stonehenge, Avebury, Marlborough, Silbury Hill, Ridgeway, Devizes, Hungerford and the Cathedral City of Salisbury are nearby, providing a wealth of attractions and great days out. Other attractions within easy reach that are popular with guests are Longleat Safari Park, Legoland, Lacock Abbey, Stourhead, Bowood, Highclere and less than an hour from Bath, Salisbury and Oxford.
Wiltshire's beautiful rolling landscape is dotted with small market towns just waiting to be explored and the countryside surrounding Manor Farm provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Whether you enjoy cycling, walking or horse-riding, the area has much to offer and is a haven for wildlife including red kites, lapwing, hares, barn owls, roe and fallow deer.
The Forest and Canal offer great traffic free walking and cycling opportunities and there are miles of bridleways and byways through local woodland and across beautiful downland (you can bring our own horse to explore them!). There is access to excellent mountain bike routes and great off road tracks or enjoy a more sedate ride along the quite country lanes and stop for lunch at a local pub along the way! Other popular outdoor pursuits available locally include fly fishing at Manningford Fishery, clay pigeon shooting at Lains Shooting School, golf at Tidworth and Marlborough, riding stables at Pewsey Vale Riding Centre and outdoor karting at Thruxton.
Manor farm is an excellent base for exploring Wiltshire's many attractions including the famous Wiltshire White horses and crop circles and within easy reach of lovely little villages, towns and cities.

The Stables sits between the farmyard and farmhouse on a family run arable and organic beef farm. The cottage has countryside views across the fields (where cows graze in the summer) trees and barns.
Everything has been provided to ensure your holiday is relaxing and gets off to a good start including tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with dishwasher tables and washing up liquid so you won't need to pack too much. If you want a night out, trusted (and qualified) baby sitters can be arranged.

Outside: There is a small lawn area and gravel terrace with garden furniture. Plenty of off-road parking and a lockable bike shed and boot wash area available.
Additional information: All bed linen and towels are provided and included in the price. Short breaks are available most of year out of peak holidays and are normally Friday to Monday and Monday to Friday but the owner's try to be flexible about start days so please enquire (minimum stay two nights). Children welcome but as this is a working farm they must be supervised at all times (possibly not suitable for very small children). Dogs strictly by prior arrangement (the owner's have dogs and livestock on the farm). Grazing for horses available on farm - extra charge applies. A discount for under occupancy may be available - please enquire. Easy booking and payment on line and debit/credit cards payments accepted or happy to take cheques if you prefer!
Accessibility: All rooms are on the ground floor and there are two steps up to the property from the parking area (ramp can be provided) and one step down in to the double bedroom. For further information please ask.
