About Barn End

Barn End is an attractive stone holiday cottage in a picturesque conservation area in Wiltshire. The self-catering property dates back 300 years and was built as a stable barn for the Manor House. It sleeps four people in two bedrooms and is child-friendly, with well-behaved dogs welcome by arrangement, so it is ideal for couples or families. You're right on the edge of the Cotswolds, close to Chippenham and within a short walk of Biddestone's village pub, The White Horse. It's an excellent location for a relaxing escape in any season, with stunning countryside walks from the door and easy access to famous sights and attractions.

Biddestone is the quintessential English village. As well as a friendly pub, it has a traditional green surrounded by 18th-Century Cotswold stone houses, a duck pond, a cricket pitch, a meandering brook, and a 12th Century Norman church. The pub is great if you want a sociable drink or don't feel like cooking, and you're only two miles away from shops, takeaways and other amenities in Corsham. You can walk from the village straight onto scenic footpaths, and there are six golf courses within just a few miles. You'd be forgiven for thinking that somewhere so perfect must have been created for a film set, which is probably why the producers chose it as a setting for the popular Agatha Raising TV show.

Bath, with its Roman baths, gorgeous Georgian architecture, magnificent Abbey and wealth of shops, museums and restaurants, is easy to get to via the convenient Park and Ride system. You're also close to Castle Combe, a charming village with a famous motor racing track. Fans of the Harry Potter films should certainly visit National Trust Lacock and Lacock Abbey. Other places for a day out include Westonbirt Arboretum, Stonehenge, Longleat Safari Park, Bristol, and STEAM Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon.

You can stay at Barn End in any season. Guests love the peaceful location, beautiful garden, and high standard of accommodation.    We can make your stay even more relaxing by arranging for Holistic Massage Therapy at our In-House Spa.  Website: maholistictherapist.com
