Dell View Cottage sleeps three guests in two bedrooms and is a cosy home from home located in the picturesque village of Oakamoor. The cottage is ideal for couples or a small family who want a quiet get away, a base for an active walking or cycling break and for visiting nearby Alton Towers and the Peak District National Park.
Guests can enjoy the private, pet friendly garden (up to two dogs welcome!) with views overlooking the village and the nearby Cotton Dell Nature Reserve. The garden has a paved patio area with garden furniture for enjoying chilled out days in this beautiful setting.
Oakamoor is a pretty village in North Staffordshire’s stunning Churnet Valley. Alton Towers is just a mile and a half away and the cottage’s location provides access to the Staffordshire Way, Hawksmoor Nature Reserve, Dimmingsdale and the Churnet Valley Way. Ramblers and walkers will find plenty of walks around the village. The River Churnet runs through the village and summer days can be passed picnicking on its banks. The beautiful Cotton Dell Nature Reserve, which gives the cottage its name, is just a short walk away. The nearby village pub provides a friendly family welcome and great food is available at a number of nearby pubs/restaurants. Shops and supermarkets can be found in the lovely town of Cheadle which is just a pleasant ten minute drive away.
The cottage is a great base for exploring the Peak District and Staffordshire. Alton Towers can be easily reached by car or on foot. Charming Peak District towns are within easy driving distance, Ashbourne is just twenty minutes by car and Bakewell and Chatsworth House are less than thirty miles away. Staffordshire’s beautiful Trentham Estate is only sixteen miles away so plenty of great days out.

Outside: There is a large enclosed pet friendly, private garden with paved patio area with outdoor furniture and chiminea. Off-road parking for one car and ample parking on the road for others. Secure out-building for storage of cycles and outdoor equipment.
Additional information: The cottage has full Gas central heating throughout. WiFi internet access for guest use. Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels included. Maximum of two well behaved dogs are welcome. No smoking inside the cottage. Children most welcome. There is a village pub a short walk away. Week long breaks offered starting on a Saturday.
