The Barn at Wylde Goose is a brand new Peak District holiday home in an incredible location. Beautifully restored to a high standard with no detail left unchecked, the converted barn is in the Staffordshire village of Bradnop, close to Leek and only around a mile and a half from the Peak District National Park. The Barn is perfect for families or friends, sleeping eight people in four very comfortable ensuite bedrooms.
Bradnop is ideal if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy life. Swap your normal commute with wonderful walks on the Staffordshire Moors, with fantastic footpaths accessible from the doorstep. Having the Peak District National Park so close means that it's easy to reach famous beauty spots, including The Roaches, Dovedale and Castleton. If you prefer to explore by bicycle or mountain bike, then you'll love being close to places like the Manifold Valley, Monsal Trail, Tissington Trail and High Peak Trail, with the option of hiring a bike through a choice of local bike shops if necessary.
Leek is less than two miles from The Barn at Wylde Goose. It's a wonderful market town with an excellent array of amenities that include a weekly market and a monthly fine food market, as well as cafes, pubs, shops and antique shops. Other places for a day trip include Stoke-on-Trent and The Potteries, the elegant spa town of Buxton, and the lively market town of Bakewell, whose Monday market has over 100 stallholders. Local attractions feature something for everyone, no matter their age or interests. The Peak Wildlife Park, Tittesworth Reservoir, Rudyard Lake, Alton Towers, Daltons Dairy, the Churnet Valley Steam Railway, and Biddulph Grange National Trust are all within only a few miles. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are around a 40-minute drive, as are the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver's Kingdom.

The Barn at Wylde Goose is recently renovated to a very high standard throughout. Accommodation is over two levels. The ground floor has underfloor heating.

Outside: The fantastic standard continues outside, where the patio has garden furniture, a barbecue and a pizza oven. The lawn has a climbing set and swing, with the entire garden enjoying lovely views. There is plenty of off-street parking. The owners offer the option of hiring an outdoor hot tub for your stay (please speak to the owner about charges). Please enquire when booking.
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Short breaks may be possible, depending on availability. The owner regrets they cannot accommodate pets. Smoking is not permitted.
