Tiore nestles on the southern edge of Bowmont Forest and affords beautiful uninterrupted views over fields and beyond to the border where England joins Scotland in the distance approximately twenty five miles away. Tiore is located on the private Bowmont Forest roadway, where there are two semi-detached cottages, one being for Tiore guests and the other the owner's home, so they are available for assistance should you need them.
In the forest there are many paths to explore either by foot or bike and if you are lucky and quiet you may catch a glimpse of deer, red squirrel and barn owls. Wild birds love ‘Tiore’ gardens and you may enjoy watching the owners chickens, help to feed them or possibly collect the eggs.
Tiore is just four miles south of the historic market town of Kelso with its friendly atmosphere, golf course, swimming pool, ice rink and race course. The town has much individual character with many unique quality shops and eating establishments. Floors Castle and grounds, on the Roxburghe Estate, is on the outskirts of the town and is the largest lived in castle in Scotland. You will find many interesting places to visit and numerous events throughout the year in and around Kelso.
If you enjoy walking, sightseeing or simply relaxing then ‘Tiore’ cottage is ideal for you. The Scottish Borders has something for everyone at any time of the year. It is an ideal location for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers, along with photographers, golfers, cyclists and fishermen.
