Tweed Hideaway is one of three beautiful chalets that were designed and positioned to make the most of the far reaching views over the Tweed and Eden Valleys towards the Cheviot Hills. Each cottage has two bedrooms to accommodate up to four people and is as popular with couples who appreciate the romantic location, as it is with friends and small families who enjoy being close to Kelso and some of the best attractions in the Scottish Borders.
The contemporary chalets sit comfortably within the landscape of an organic mixed farm and guests will feel relaxed from the moment they arrive. The expertly maintained farm attracts a variety of birds including woodpeckers and owls, and you may also be lucky enough to spot deer in the wood.
Two miles away, Kelso offers everything guests need for a self-catering holiday in the Scottish Borders, and more! The historic market town sits beside two rivers - the Tweed and Teviot - and is an excellent place for shopping thanks to its specialist shops and high street names. Wander through the ruins of Roxburgh Castle, which dates back more than 900 years, or pay a visit to magnificent Floors Castle on the Roxburghe Estate. Kelso also has an abbey and a racecourse.
Follow the Kelso town trail to learn more about the area, or stroll the two-mile circular route that starts by Rennies Bridge, crossing over the Tweed and passing Kelso Abbey before returning via Hunter's Bridge. More energetic visitors may enjoy the seven-mile route to Snailholm Tower, or the long-distance Jubilee Path to Cessford and Jedburgh. Salmon and trout fishing is also exceptionally popular, as is mountain biking with easy access onto the 7Stanes trails.
Hop over the border and spend the day in Northumberland, exploring sights like Hadrian's Wall, Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle or the miles of unspoiled coastline. Edinburgh is around an hour from Tweed Hideaway, so a day discovering Scotland's capital city is also possible.
Of course, you may be happy to do nothing more than sleep late, enjoy a lazy brunch and soak your cares away while you relax in your private, wood-fired hot tub and enjoy the luxury of having nowhere specific to be, no deadlines and no one to please but yourself. Bliss!

Accommodation Comprises:
The three chalets have a similar layout, each with two bedrooms and accommodation all on one level. The furnishings and fixtures are of a high standard, and the owners have taken care to ensure their guests enjoy a relaxing, comfortable stay.
Outside: The wooden deck has garden furniture so that you can sit outside. The farm attracts a wealth of birds and wildlife, and the deck is a good place to watch owls hunt in the evening. You may even be lucky enough to spot deer or squirrels. To the side of the chalet, a private log fired hot tub is a wonderful way to ease the stress from muscles tired from a day of walking or cycling. The chalet has allocated parking nearby. There is a shared utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.
Additional Information: Tweed Hideaway has central heating, and all utilities, including logs for the hot tub and wood burner, are included, as are bed linen and towels. Short breaks are possible depending on availability. While dogs are not permitted in the chalets, the farm has a variety of self-catering properties, some of which are pet-friendly. Smoking is not allowed.
