The Capercaillie at airhouses is a stunning 10 bedroom property. Nestled amongst acres of organic farmland yet 45 mins from bustling Edinburgh you will feel a world away from everyday life. The house was purpose built for holiday accommodation with three master bedroom, all with dressing areas and all ensuite, and two further bedrooms that share a family bathroom. It boasts two gathering spaces downstairs, a garden room that opens to a decking with the huge ten seater hot tub and a sumptuous living area that joins a dining area, with a 10 seater oak table and a modern kitchen you can cook up a brilliant foodie feast. If BBQ's are more your thing, just head out the doors from the kitchen to the hobbit style BBQ hut in the garden. The Capercaillie sits at the head of the farm overlooking stunning open views to the hill tops beyond. Super cute and friendly animals graze in the fields near by including our pet alpacas, donkeys, goat, sheep, sheltand ponies, horses and pigs. They all love a chat and a tickle! Further a field on the farm you will find fenced walks, shetland cattle and our highland cow apple! We also have a play den for under 7's, a willow den and mud kitchen and a kids treasure trail or for free use. We also have a small farm shop, a selection of high quality freezer food and a pop up cafe serving delicious locally roasted artisan coffee and fabulous hot chocolates and milkshakes! There is huge amounts to see and do in the borders, great places to eat and shop for foodies, including farmers markets. Wonderful history from abbeys, castle to inhabited historic houses. Or for the outdoor lover, fabulous cycle ways, walks, wild swimming and fishing. Here on the farm we also have an abundance of wildlife. You are very likely to spot roe deer, hares, foxes and buzzards and hopefully the barn owls, badgers, our stoats and kestrel.
