The Farmhouse is a spacious and homely retreat tucked away in peaceful Harty, on the Isle of Sheppey. Sleeping up to 21 guests across eight bedrooms, it’s the ideal setting for large family gatherings, milestone celebrations, or a relaxed getaway with friends. There’s room for everyone to unwind, with generous living areas inside and wide open spaces outdoors — all framed by glorious countryside views. From the doorstep, you can stroll to the coast, explore nearby nature reserves, or head over to the award-winning Ferry House restaurant. The Farmhouse is one of five welcoming holiday cottages on Mocketts Farm and is available for bookings all year round, offering a proper escape to the heart of the Kentish countryside. Please note, The Ferry House will close for regular dining from April 2026, reopening on select dates for special events. Private dining for larger groups may be offered, subject to availability – please contact us for further details. In-cottage catering will still be available.

From the doorstep, there are beautiful walks and bike rides across the marshes and along the coast, and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore Elmley and The Swale nature reserves, peaceful beaches, and the wider Kent countryside. Though it feels wonderfully off the beaten track, Marsh View is still only around 30 minutes from Maidstone, under an hour from Canterbury, and just over an hour from London, making it a fantastic year-round getaway spot.
