The Lodge - Upper Colwall, Nr Malvern, Herefordshire, England - Sleeps 4

The Lodge

This historic cottage was designed by the well known Arts and Crafts architect C F A Voysey. The Lodge sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms and is ideally located with direct access onto the Malvern Hills. Dating back to 1895, as the name suggests, The Lodge is the lodge house for Perrycroft with its beautiful gardens which are part of the National Gardens Scheme and open to the public.

The Lodge sits at the top of the drive and commands panoramic views over the Malvern Hills and beautiful rolling Herefordshire countryside with miles of spectacular walks directly from the front door. A cottage for all seasons, during the winter months enjoy supper in front of the cosy wood burner and when the weather is warmer, immerse yourself in the beauty of Perrycroft's gardens which guests are welcome to wander around and explore.

Carefully restored to preserve its original charm, The Lodge has recently (2015) been refurbished. It offers traditional simplistic style perfectly blended with modern conveniences to provide a peaceful retreat from which to relax in a historic, rural setting.

The surrounding countryside of Herefordshire and Worcestershire has immense appeal and plenty of attractions, whether your passion is walking, wildlife or visiting museums, castles, National Trust properties and gardens. Nearby and a short drive away is the Victorian spa town of Malvern and also the attractive market town of Ledbury. The Cotswolds and Welsh Marches are too within easy reach as are the cathedral cities of Hereford, Worcester, Gloucester and the Spa town of Cheltenham, providing superb shopping opportunities, attractions and great places to eat.

Whatever the time of year, The Lodge provides a welcoming retreat that you will want to return to time and time again.
