Offering plenty of space to relax and unwind, the cottages are warm and cosy and retain a wealth of fabulous original features, including chunky beams and the original doors adding to the charm. Positioned on the owner’s fourteen acre smallholding where they keep a variety of rare breeds. Guests are welcome to assist in the feeding of animals at pre-arranged times. Children are always welcome and will enjoy the smallholding and meeting the animals.
Nestling amongst the glorious countryside of North Herefordshire, the smallholding sits close to the Welsh Marches, Offa's Dyke and the Brecon Beacons. The area offers superb walking and cycling, as well as opportunities to explore pretty Herefordshire villages, sample local Herefordshire food and enjoy the local history, culture and arts.
There are many attractions and places of interest to enjoy and plenty of outdoor activities to participate in with golf, horse riding, canoeing, fishing and even Go-Kartingall available locally. The cottages are eight miles from Hay on Wye, which is internationally famous for its annual literary festival and second-hand bookshops. Ludlow is also close by and is a Mecca for antique lovers and foodies alike. Hereford is also only fourteen miles away.
The Granary sleeps four guests, offering a high level of comfort in an ideal setting just perfect for couples who want to escape the pressures of everyday life. The Granary can be booked along with the Old Barn to accommodate two groups of up to ten guests coming away together: the large sitting room in the Old Barn has a dining table that if used in conjunction with the small table from the Kitchen can easily accommodate ten guests. Flexible bookings are offered and short breaks for weekends and midweek stays are welcome.

Both cottages are furnished to a very high standard with good quality comfortable furnishings, fittings and bed linen. They have lots of character and the owners' have paid a great deal of attention to detail to provide guests with the kind of experience they themselves look for in self catering accommodation. Each cottage includes: log burning stove (kindling, logs and firelighters provided); fully-equipped kitchen with fridge, separate freezer, full-size electric oven, hob and microwave and sitting room with television, DVD, radio, stereo and Wi-Fi.
The Granary is a delightful 4 Star self-catering retreat with heaps of original character adding to its charm including beams, exposed roof trusses and the original old stone steps outside that lead to a granary store which is no longer in use and used to store tubs for the garden.

Outside: There is a beautiful garden with flower festooned borders coming into their own in spring and summer. There are tables,chairs and benches available in the garden to relax and enjoy a good book or alfresco dining on a warm summers evening with the barbecue grills. We are surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside and have views out towards the Black mountains.
Additional information: Guests are welcome to bring a well behaved dog to The Granary by prior arrangement. A welcome breakfast hamper of local Herefordshire produce is provided for guests on arrival. Additional meats(pork and lamb) and eggs produced on the farm are available for purchase subject to availability.Cots and high chairs can also be supplied upon request for children.
