The Emperor is a gorgeous four-person tent tucked away in a quiet orchard with spectacular views of the Black Mountains and easy access to beautiful walks. It's perfect for couples or families who want the fun and comfort of a glamping holiday in Herefordshire. The spacious canvas tent has a double and two single beds, inside and outside seating, and a barbecue and firepit for staying cosy while sitting under the stars. A separate building has flushing loos and hot showers.
You'll love this location for a walking or cycling holiday in the Welsh borders. It's in the Golden Valley, a place of rolling hills, apple orchards, and the flowing River Dore. It's highly regarded by hikers, ramblers and walkers of all persuasions for the wealth of wonderful footpaths. Cyclists also enjoy the rolling landscape and panoramic views. The Neolithic Arthur's Stone is a fantastic destination for a walk, although simply strolling through the village past St Bartholomew's Church is also a joy. This region has a calendar jam-packed with events that attract visitors throughout the year, including the Hay-on-Wye Literary Festival in May, the Herefordshire Walking Festival in June and the Abergavenny Food Festival in September. You will always find something fun to do.
Hereford is 12 miles away from The Emperor. It is a small and vibrant city with a 12th Century cathedral at its centre which houses the world's largest chained library and Mappa Mundi. Hereford also has a regular market, great shops and restaurants, a range of supermarkets, and a multiplex cinema. Other places to visit during your stay include Hay-on-Wye, which is the UK's first and most successful book town. Staying on the Welsh border means you're never far from a castle or a fortified building, many of which can be linked as scenic cycling, walking or driving routes.
