About Oaksberry

Oaksberry is a bright and welcoming holiday rental in rural Devon. It is on a quiet smallholding in the village of Rackenford near Tiverton, within walking distance of the community-run village shop and the 13th Century The Stag Inn, which is open for meals at weekends. The dog-friendly one-bedroom apartment is ideal for couples or independent visitors but has a futon/double sofa bed so it can sleep up to four people if necessary.

The local area is beautiful. Miles of footpaths and cycling routes make exploring a pleasure every season. You're not limited to the immediate area, either. Oaksberry is only 20 minutes from Exmoor National Park and just 45 minutes from Dartmoor National Park, making it a fantastic choice for anyone who enjoys walking, mountain biking, horse riding, climbing, or being outdoors in any way. Devon's north coast and beautiful beaches like Westward Ho! are only 30 miles from Oaksberry, while the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site and beaches on the south coast are around an hour's drive, as are Minehead and beaches in Somerset.

There is a wealth of amenities a few miles away in Tiverton, which has shops, cafes, pubs, a cinema, a leisure centre, a castle and a lovely canal. If you feel like a different shopping experience, then spend a Thursday or a Saturday at the Country Pannier Market in South Moulton, 11 miles from Oaksberry. The cathedral city of Exeter is 24 miles away, while Barnstaple and Taunton are all easily accessible for shopping, eating, and sightseeing.

Oaksberry is one of two welcoming self-catering apartments on Broad Close Farm, where the owner lives in the farmhouse and runs a smallholding to produce as much of their food as possible. Depending on availability, you can book the two apartments together for extended families and friends. Please see the owner's website for details.
