Treat your family or friends to a self-catering stay by the coast in this wonderful holiday home that sleeps eight people in four bedrooms and is within a short walk of Shaldon beach, the River Teign, cafes, a bakery, shops, and the welcoming Shipwright Arms pub. It's a wonderfully relaxing place with lots to do in all seasons, especially if you enjoy being by or on the water.
Shaldon is a traditional fishing village at the mouth of the River Teign. It's just over the river from Teignmouth with a regular ferry service linking the two. There is plenty to keep everyone happily occupied during your holiday with local attractions, including Shaldon Zoo and a Pitch and Putt golf course with fantastic views. Spend lazy days at the beach, swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding, or hire a boat and explore along the river. It doesn't matter how old you are - walking through Smuggler's Tunnel to Ness Cove is always a thrill. Beautiful walks along the South West Coast Path and cycling through the Teign Valley will be another highlight of your stay, and you can't ignore the appeal of Dartmoor's dramatic landscape being so close.
The famous beaches of the English Riviera are a short drive south of Shaldon. There is always something to do in Torquay, from eating ice cream on the pier to a ride on the Big Wheel. Take the kids to Babbacombe Model Village or drive a few miles further to Paignton, where they can play happily for hours in the waterfront playground or go crabbing off the harbour walls. Other beaches to visit include Sidmouth, Dawlish, and Dawlish Warren, although you could easily stay within walking distance of the holiday house and never get bored.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome by arrangement - a small cleaning fee applies. Smoking is not permitted.
