Gardeners Cottage is a welcoming holiday cottage in one of the best spots in the southwest. The one bedroom period property is a favourite with couples, not only for features like the stone fireplace and original windows but also for its desirable location just strolling distance from Kingsbridge Quay, pubs, bars, cafes, tea rooms, shops and restaurants. It's perfect for a sunny seaside escape, seasonal walks through the South Hams countryside or enjoying the many events and festivals this region has to offer.
Kingsbridge is part of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and what a picturesque place it is! There is always something lovely to look at in the bustling market town, whether it’s a view over the estuary or a freshly baked scone loaded with clotted cream and jam. They take their sailing seriously here, and boat hire, chartered tours, and ferry crossings to Salcombe are readily accessible. Surfboards, canoes, kayaks and paddle-boards are also easily available. With the five mile long Kingsbridge Estuary, the Rivers Dart and Avon and the stunning beaches of South Devon all virtually on the doorstep, you certainly won’t run out of places to enjoy spending time on the water. Those who prefer to stay dry will find miles of footpaths, cycling routes and bridleways leading through scenic countryside and around the coast.
Take the ferry or bus to Salcombe for a spot of shopping and lunch, spread out your beach towel at Slapton, or walk a stretch of the South West Coast Path. Depending on your preferred tipple, you can visit the Salcombe Brewery, Salcombe Gin School, Buckfast Abbey or Sharpham Vineyard.
Other local attractions include the South Devon Chilli Farm, National Trust gardens at Overbecks, Babbacombe Model Village or the Start Point Lighthouse. The English Riviera and beaches like Torquay, Paignton and Brixham are less than an hours drive from the cottage, while Dartmoor National Park is even closer.
Gardeners Cottage is available for bookings all year round, so its always there when you need to escape, unwind and recharge in comfortable surroundings.

Outside: The cottage garden is full of flowering plants with a bistro table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy the setting. There is free designated off-road parking 150 metres from the door (a huge bonus in summer!) with limited parking on the street.
Additional information: Utilities, WiFi (FTTP with a speed of 100 Mbps), bed linen, bath towels and an initial wood supply for the log burner are provided. Guests to bring beach towels if they are required. Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement. Smoking is not permitted.
