The Deer House sleeps four guests and is perfectly located close to the Lake District National Park, the North Yorkshire Dales and The Trough of Bowland, making it an ideal place for visiting the many attractions and places of interest that these areas have to offer. Located amongst spectacular countryside The Deer House is perfectly placed for exploring this beautiful area which is rich in history and attractions of pure natural beauty.
This delightful holiday home is located on the Underley Estate where there are a wide range of outdoor activities to enjoy on your doorstep. Routed trails and footpaths wind their way through the estate grounds, which are a haven for wildlife and perfect country for those who enjoy walking.
Keen fishermen will be pleased to know there are opportunities to try fly fishing on private sections of The River Lune, renowned for its salmon in September and October and sea trout during the summer. There are approximately one and a half miles of private water on the estate to enjoy, including pools such as the Broken Banks and Catamaran. Fishing is by prior arrangement, for an additional fee and tackle can be hired on the estate.
Whilst staying at Underley Estate you can try clay pigeon shooting where you can participate in this sport amongst the beautiful rolling countryside of the Lake District, with the stunning backdrop of The River Lune - the perfect way to spend a couple of hours.
The estate offers a choice of lovely walks with bridle tracks and footpaths taking you over rolling fields and through woods, along with private walks that are only accessible to those staying on the estate. Guests also have preferential rates on Kirkby Lonsdale's 'pay and play' 18 hole parkland course that forms part of the Underley Estate (this can be booked in advance).

This lovely 19th century Grade II listed farm building was once used to feed the ornamental deer that lived on the estate. Renovated to a high standard it is now a stunning two bedroom property that sleeps four guests.
The building is octagonal in shape and offers the following accommodation:
Outside: The house is surrounded by woodland and fields with fantastic views towards the fells. There is a small lawned garden and off road parking for two cars.
Additional information: Short breaks can be offered and alternative changeover days can be accommodated where possible - please enquire. Off road parking is provided. Electric, heating, water and WiFi are included as are towels and all linen.
