About The Gatehouse

The Gatehouse is a detached lodge accommodating up to six guests and offering luxurious holiday accommodation that has been awarded 4 Star Gold.

The lakeland stone house has its own garden and overlooks fields and woodland. The Gatehouse is a five minute drive from the popular village of Windermere and guests staying at The Gatehouse can benefit from having dinner at the Holbeck Ghyll Country House Hotel - only a two minutes walk.

The Lake District really is one of the most beautiful and romantic corners of the country where you can enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities including: sailing on one of the many beautiful lakes; mountaineering or strolling the endless miles of open countryside; browsing around quaint villages; visiting stately homes and gardens; fishing; pony trekking; golfing and so much more.

If you are looking for the perfect luxury retreat in this beautiful part of England, where you can either simply relax or explore the Lake District National Park, with its many attractions, then this is an ideal location.

Prices: The owners are happy to be flexible with bookings and offer short breaks. Two day break from £400; Three day break from £500. These rates do not apply to Christmas and New Year - please enquire for a specific quote for these periods.
