The Hive adjoins the owners home, The Bee House and is located on the outskirts of the Herefordshire village of Bosbury, five miles from Ledbury providing a high standard of holiday accommodation for two guests.
The layout is traditional with the living area (including a handy cloakroom) on the ground floor and the king-size bedroom and shower room upstairs. With fields behind, guests can enjoy a good degree of privacy and lovely countryside views.
Ledbury is a jewel in Herefordshire's crown sitting at the foot of the Malvern Hills with its impressive black and white buildings lining its little lanes and alleyways. Just five miles away from The Hive, this picturesque market town is steeped in history and puts the fun back into shopping with a good choice of boutiques, along with tea rooms, pubs and restaurants for when you need to refuel. Ledbury is also well known for its Poetry Festival running over 10 days during the summer and there is also a theatre, swimming pool and cinema in the town.
Malvern is also within easy reach (8 miles) and hosts a busy calendar of events at the theatre and also the Three Counties show ground. With a good mix of independent shops and bigger high street names, Malvern is a good place for shopping and stocking up on provisions with a Waitrose and Morrisons, along with a retail park. Slightly further afield but still within easy driving distance are Worcester (14 miles), the riverside towns of Upton-on-Severn and Tewkesbury, the country town of Hereford (both less than 20 miles), Cheltenham (27 miles) with its famous race course, Gloucester (23 miles) and the honey coloured ancient villages and towns of the Cotswolds (approximately 40 miles). Monmouth, Hay-on-Wye with its famous literary festival and Ross-on-Wye are also worth visiting and for those seeking outdoor adventure, head for Symonds Yat.
There are lovely walks straight from the cottage front door and endless opportunities in the nearby Malvern Hills, just a few miles away. Fishing and golf are also possible, along with National Trust properties and plenty of good pubs and restaurants showcasing the finest of Herefordshire produce.
