About Oak Lodge

Oak Lodge is inspired by classic Scandinavian design with a pitched roof and timber deck in a beautiful woodland setting near Dartmoor. The holiday home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is ideal for families or friends. Imagine the bliss of sinking into your private hot tub on your enclosed decking after a day of exploration and activities, gazing at the stars with the gentle sound of hooting owls in the background. Oak Lodge is in a quiet location on the tranquil Finlake Resort, where amenities include spa treatments, indoor and outdoor pools, gym, fishing lakes, and horse-riding. There is a bar/restaurant if self-catering at the lodge doesn’t appeal and a café/shop for those stop-off treats and essentials.

Finlake Resort is in a fantastic location between Dartmoor National Park and the coast of South Devon. You are surrounded by 130 private acres of the resort, and you're in the heart of some of the most rugged and romantically beautiful scenery in England's southwest. Escape to the splendid solitude of the moors or drive 15 miles to the English Riviera to paddle beneath Paignton Pier or ride the Ferris wheel at Torquay. Exeter and Totnes are nearby for shopping, restaurants and nightlife, or you can stay on-site at Finlake Resort and take advantage of the many excellent activities available to guests.

People who stay at Oak Lodge love its location amongst the treetops, where it's possible to sit on the deck and watch busy squirrels scampering through the leaves. Soak tired muscles in your private hot tub or indulge yourself in spa treatments a short walk away. There are plenty of options to keep kids happy in any weather, with many opportunities for grown-ups to relax and enjoy their time off. Local attractions include Greenway House, Castle Drogo, Killerton House, and Cannonteign Falls. Short breaks (Mon-Fri and Fri-Mon) and week-long bookings are available all year round and dogs are welcome.

Finlake is a beautifully peaceful and spacious holiday resort where accommodation is spread out across a large area to maintain guests' privacy. Accommodation at Oak Lodge is over two levels.

Downstairs:

  • An open-plan layout with two large picture windows make the most of the leafy outlook and natural light, giving a treetops feel to your stay. With the underfloor heating you will be kept snug and warm in the colder weather, and will be flooded with sunshine on brighter days. There are two comfy leather sofas and a Smart TV in the living area, which is separated from the kitchen by an oval dining table and six chairs.
  • Fitted with efficient appliances and glossy white cabinets that reflect the light back into the room, the kitchen is well-equipped for family self-catering.
  • A spacious room has two single beds and a built-in wardrobe.
  • The shower room has a walk-in shower, WC and a hand basin.
  • Indulge in the warming therapy of a private sauna.

Upstairs:

  • Wake up to the gentle sound of birdsong in the master bedroom which boasts a balcony with table and chairs which is totally private. It has a king-sized bed, built in wardrobe, a vanity with lighting and a wall-mounted TV with Freeview channels.
  • Another twin bedroom at the front of the lodge with leafy views has two single beds, built-in wardrobe and a vanity with lighting.
  • A family bathroom has a corner bath, WC and a hand basin.

Outside: The enclosed downstairs deck has an outdoor dining table, and there's a hot tub tucked away around the corner where it is not overlooked. The lodge has allocated parking.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and towels are included when you rent Oak Lodge. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome.
