Hallwood Farmhouse accommodates parties of two to ten guests and provides the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in a place where you can truly relax and come away feeling invigorated.
Flower filled lanes, a spectacular coastline, attractive market towns where you can pick up local produce and glorious countryside provide endless opportunities for those who enjoy being outdoors. Marvel at the wildlife in its natural habitat, then of an evening, enjoy a leisurely meal with good company at home or at the village pub which is just a short walk.
For short breaks or longer holidays, Hallwood Farmhouse offers an opportunity to get 'off the beaten track' in a wonderful area of unrivalled outstanding natural beauty. It is within easy reach of the major tourist attractions within the South West and unspoilt moorland, yet easily reached by the motorway and airport.
This is an ideal location for family get togethers, where you can bring your children, your bikes, your boots and even your dog! Still a working farm, Hallwood Farmhouse is nestled on a South facing slope overlooking the rolling unspoilt countryside on the edge of the thatched village of Petrockstowe with its own friendly pub. This part of Devon is truly beautiful with gentle rolling hills, ancient oaks, babbling streams and tree lined fields.
Approached along a private driveway, Hallwood Farmhouse nestles amongst rolling pasture land and woods that extend to some ninety acres. With plenty of space both inside and out, two to ten guests can be accommodated in a wing of the spacious farmhouse, offering self-contained accommodation with stunning views across the surrounding fields with the moors in the distance.
Sitting at the very heart of some of the finest walking and cycling routes that the South West has to offer, Hallwood Farmhouse is an excellent choice for outdoor enthusiasts with The Devon Coast to Coast, The Tarka Trail and The Granite Way amongst the many excellent opportunities on offer. Both Dartmoor, Exmoor and the Coast are all within easy reach, and there is plenty to see for wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers.
As well as cattle, sheep and heritage breed pigs, the owners grow a range of vegetables that are available to purchase from the farm shop which is always stocked for the convenience of holiday guests.
Whether you want to get out and about exploring Devon and the South West's many attractions or simply relax in a peaceful setting, Hallwood Farmhouse has lots of appeal!
