About Elm Lodge

Elm Lodge whispers luxury, elegance, and the refined glamour that only exists in a select handful of country houses. Whether as the setting for your family celebration, special occasion, or a long-awaited reunion with far-flung friends, the spacious house sleeps up to 26 people in 11 beautiful bedrooms. The Ravenstonedale location is as gorgeous as the holiday home. Not only are you surrounded by 15 acres of private grounds, but you are on the threshold of the Lake District National Park, Yorkshire Dales National Park, and the North Pennines. Stunning walks and cycling routes are at your door, and you're within a short walk of the Kings Head Pub, the Black Swan pub, the tennis courts and the Riverside Golf Club.

Ravenstonedale is an ideal choice for a rural retreat with family and friends. The expansive grounds provide all of the space and privacy you crave, yet you're close to three friendly pubs, a golf course, the village church, and a scenic riverside spot for picnics and playing. With its picturesque setting and traditional stone buildings, Ravenstonedale offers a quintessential English village experience. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, the village is surrounded by stunning landscapes perfect for walking, cycling, and horse riding. Nearby, Ashfell Ridge and Howgill Fells provide breathtaking views and tranquil trails, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts.

Beyond the village, the wider area of Cumbria offers a wealth of attractions and sights to explore. The famous Lake District National Park is just a short drive away with popular day trips to Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside, and Grasmere. The region is a haven for outdoor lovers with its majestic lakes, rugged mountains, and charming villages. Visit Windermere, the largest lake in England, and enjoy a leisurely boat trip or explore the bustling town with its boutique shops and cafes. History buffs will appreciate a trip to the ancient town of Kirkby Stephen, with its historic buildings and fascinating heritage. For a touch of grandeur, head to Lowther Castle to wander through stunning gardens and learn about the castle's rich history. Don’t miss the scenic Settle-Carlisle Railway, offering one of the most beautiful train journeys in the UK, or the Pennine Bridleway for fantastic walking and cycling routes. With so much to see and do, Ravenstonedale serves as a perfect base for discovering the best of Cumbria, combining the charm of a traditional village with easy access to some of the region’s most spectacular attractions.
