About Gull Rock

Gull Rock is in a desirable location in stylish St Ives, directly opposite Porthmeor, a Blue Flag beach with spectacular views. It's within a short stroll of the harbour and historic Old Town, as well as shops, galleries, bars, and other local businesses. Gull Rock is a large holiday home, comfortably accommodating up to 12 people in six bedrooms, four ensuite. The size of the property, location and layout makes it perfect for big families, extended families, and families on holiday together.

St Ives is one of the best-loved coastal towns in Cornwall. Once a modest fishing community, it's now a vibrant town with lots of activities, events and attractions to enjoy all year round. The soft sandy beach meets azure waters with a milder than average climate thanks to the warming Gulf Stream. Spend your mornings surfing or swimming followed up a delicious lunch at Gull Rock or one of St Ives many fantastic eateries. Fill your afternoons at the Tate St Ives, Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, or the Leach Pottery Studio. The South West Coast Path is a permanent favourite with locals and visitors for breathtaking views over places like Porthkidney Beach, Carbis Bay and Porthminster Point. Other St Ives attractions include boat trips to Seal Island, and a trip on the Victorian St Ives to St Erth train, passing RSPB Lelant.

Cornwall is packed with beautiful sights and amazing attractions, with something to keep everyone happy no matter their age or their interests. Places to visit during your stay include St Michael's Mount, the tidal island off the Marazion coast that's accessible via boat or by walking across the causeway at low tide. The Eden Project is unmissable, as is the opportunity to take your photo at Lands End. Buy tickets to a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, be educated and entertained at the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth, or take the kids to Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary.

Accommodation Comprises:

Gull Rock is a large house with accommodation over three levels. It's directly across the road from the beach with uninterrupted views. It is beautifully decorated in a fresh coastal style.

Ground Floor:

  • Open plan kitchen/diner with a large bay window framing spectacular sea views. Appliances include two ovens and two dishwashers, making it easy to cater for and clear up after a dozen hungry guests. The kitchen also has a TV with a DVD player, and a CD radio.
  • Utility room with laundry and cleaning facilities.
  • Cloakroom with a WC and a handbasin.
  • Twin bedroom with two single beds and an ensuite with a shower, WC and a handbasin.
  • Second twin room with two single beds and proper storage.

First Floor:

  • Large, light-filled living room with three big sofas, a fireplace with a modern gas fire, and a Smart TV. The bay window overlooks the beach with panoramic views.
  • Two double rooms with kingsized beds, bedside tables with reading lights, and an ensuite with a shower, WC and a handbasin. Both rooms have access to the seafront deck where there is outdoor seating and stairs leading to the garden.
  • Double room with a kingsize bed, bedside tables with reading lights, and a private balcony.
  • Family bathroom with a shower over the bath, WC and a handbasin.

Top Floor:

  • Master bedroom suite with views over Porthmoer Beach and the Island. As well as a kingsize bed, the room has a private balcony and an ensuite with a shower, WC and a handbasin.

Outside: Gull Rock has two enclosed deck areas with outdoor seating and sun loungers. There is off-street parking for four cars.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Well behaved dogs are accepted at an additional charge of £50 per pet, per week or short break stay. Guests to bring beach towels. Smoking is not permitted.
