Greendale Lodge is one of three beautiful holiday cottages on the award-winning Tunstall Road Farm near Catterick in Yorkshire. Each property is completely self-contained and private and can be booked individually or together to sleep up to 22 people. This self-catering holiday rental sleeps four people in two bedrooms and is great for families or couples who enjoy the extra space. Accommodation is all on one level with underfloor heating and access for guests who use a wheelchair. Guests appreciate the high standard of accommodation and the owner's attention to detail.
Catterick is a friendly village beside the River Swale. The Romans occupied the town for 300 years, building a fort to protect the river's crossing point. Although you can't see the Roman ruins today (some are hidden beneath the A1 Great North Road) archaeological digs at Cataractonium Fort have unearthed significant finds. The late-medieval village church of St Anne's looks almost modern by those standards! If you enjoy exploring ancient sites then you'll love having Richmond Castle, Easby Abbey, and the historic city of York all within easy reach.
Walking and cycling are year-round favourite ways to explore Yorkshire. The scenery is breathtaking and the network of trails and footpaths make it easy to get out and enjoy it. Aysgarth Falls are nearby, and you're within an easy drive of both the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks. Whatever your preference for outdoor activities, you'll find them here. If you like shopping, give your credit card a workout in York and Harrogate's shops and boutiques, stopping for high tea at Betty's in either place. York's historic Shambles are best seen early in the morning before the tourists arrive.

Greendale Lodge is well-presented with accommodation entirely on the ground floor. There's one step from the patio into the house.
Outside: The enclosed garden has a level patio with seating and a lawn. There is off-street parking.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Smoking is not permitted. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement. The owners have introduced a low occupancy discount of 25% for two guests only. Children count towards the numbers, infants (under two) do not. Guests can have access to either the double or twin room, the other will remain locked.
