The Potting Shed is a cosy cottage tucked away at the back of Windermere in The Lake District National Park.
It is in a beautiful quiet location with easy access to avoid the busy main routes, on a lovely country lane and yet only a few minutes drive to the centre of Windermere and Bowness.
This quiet retreat offers views over the fells and into the woodland with regular sightings of deer in the garden. There is easy open access and parking directly outside. Although across from the owner's house, the cottage is entirely separate and private.
The location offers the chance to come and hibernate in nature with some guests leaving their car for the week, walking to the local centres and using the Lakes ferries and busses to get around. Alternatively, it is a great hub to access the museums, country houses, walks, lakes and shops. There is so much to see and do that one trip is never enough. We even have the highest collection of Michelin star restaurants outside of London, if eating is your passion,.
It is ideal for a couple, 2/3 friends or a small family looking to explore some of The Lake District’s most beautiful areas.

Accommodation Comprises:
Ground Floor - Kitchen, Living / Dining room, separate toilet and large storage area (great for supplies and outdoor kit).
First Floor - Master bedroom with kingsize bed, single bedroom and shower room.
The living room has a wood burning stove and logs are available from the owner. There are south facing french doors opening onto a gravel outdoor seating area overlooking the kitchen garden.
The kitchen offers all the main amenities as well as dishwasher, washing machine and microwave with conservatory style windows overlooking the kitchen garden and setting sun.
Upstairs the bedrooms offer dual aspect to both the Lakeland fells and woodland garden. The shower room is between the 2 bedrooms and has a large walk in shower with toilet and wash area.
Additional Information:
Utilities, towels and linen are all included. The cottage is only suitable for children over 8 years old. Smoking and pets are not permitted. Although WiFi is available this can be switched off if there are any issues with electro magnetic sensitivities. Please email the owners if you wish more information on this.
