Step into the bright, modern kitchen/diner, where traditional charm meets contemporary convenience. Featuring classic cabinetry, solid wooden worktops, and a Belfast sink, this well-equipped space boasts a wooden floor and all the modern appliances you could need — including a dishwasher, washer-dryer, oven, microwave, and air fryer. With windows on three sides, you can savour panoramic views across the valley and Lake Windermere while you cook or dine.
The cosy lounge is brimming with character, showcasing an original 18th-century flagstone floor, exposed wooden beams, and a welcoming woodburner (wood provided). Curl up on the window seat or relax in style with the large flat-screen TV, Amazon Fire Stick, Blu-ray player, Netflix, Denon sound system, and Alexa. Gas central heating ensures the cottage stays warm and snug throughout the year.
A handy porch offers space for storing walking gear and all your dog-friendly essentials.
Upstairs, you’ll find two beautiful bedrooms: the main bedroom with a king-size bed and the second with a double bed. Both are light, airy, and enjoy breathtaking views over Lake Windermere and the valley. Decorated in calming neutral shades and furnished with solid wood country furniture, each bedroom includes a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables, and lamps. A double sofa bed downstairs provides extra sleeping space, and child/pet safety gates are available.
The modern upstairs bathroom is fully tiled and features both a bath and an overhead shower.
Outside, the large, fully enclosed garden offers a safe haven for children and pets, with terraced areas to explore and a furnished patio complete with a gas BBQ — perfect for al fresco dining with a view. Ample private parking is available for up to four cars.
