A short walk from Dorset’s Jurassic coastline you will find Upper Westfield, a first floor self-catering apartment in the picturesque village of Puncknowle. It is the only holiday let in our home (we live on the other side of the house). Having your own private entrance gives guests the independence to come and go as you please with the added comfort of having us nearby should you have any questions on the area’s many attractions and seasonal events. There is lots of information in the apartment regarding places to visit. Some of our past guests’ favourites include: Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, Abbotsbury Swannery, Hive beach, Weymouth beach, Lulworth Cove, Monkey World, Symondsbury Cafe with Colmers Hill and nearby mysterious sunken lanes, St Catherine’s Chapel, and Weymouth Oceanarium. The accommodation comprises of: A large open plan living area for relaxing, dining and cooking, ideal for being together while performing different tasks. Take in the beautiful countryside views across the valley from the Juliette balcony.There is a wide selection of DVDs, puzzles, books, board games for all ages.There is a T.V. with built-in DVD player and Google Chromecast and a Bluetooth player.The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetière, fridge, freezer and is well equipped with utensils and crockery. The double bedroom has the bathroom next door.The twin bedroom has its own en-suite shower room.Both the bathroom and the ensuite shower room have wall mirrors with mood lighting. There is a large walk-in power shower in the ensuite. We offer an option of having access to a third bedroom (single bed) with use of a sauna. This room is also an ideal space to be used as a workstation as it has a desk and is separate from the main apartment area. This is offered at an additional £30 per night. There is plenty of parking available in our front driveway and there is an EV charger. We welcome one well-behaved small dog, by prior consent, for an additional £10 per stay. You are welcome to use the front garden and there is a separate section of the rear garden for your sole use, where there is a table with umbrella and chairs. Through the wooden gate leads you into the little orchard where there is more seating and a Buddha among the mature damson, pear and apple trees. We have a further two fields at the bottom of the garden where sometimes the local farmer puts his sheep to graze. Included is a family pass (2 adults, 2 children) to the local animal park which also has an indoor play area. This is a 5 minute drive away. We provide a generous welcome pack of provisions to get you settled (which can be adapted to meet any allergy requirements). We also provide towels, a hairdryer, toilet paper, kitchen roll, tissues, washing up liquid, and hand wash. The thatched village pub, The Crown, is a 5 minute stroll down the lane.
