Saddleback Lodge Retreat has been fully refurbished and is new to the holiday let market in 2024.
You can relax with the whole family at this peaceful 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom lodge with a front garden with lovely views and an enclosed back garden, private parking for 3 cars and bike storage. Saddleback Lodge Retreat is situated close to Ullswater and Haweswater and well placed for easy access to Keswick, Ambleside and Windermere. Lowther Castle, Ullswater and Pooley Bridge are nearby as are plenty of restaurants and scenic pubs. There is an open air swimming pool 2 miles away in Askham and a train station nearby.

Saddleback Lodge Retreat is a single storey lodge on a quiet family site situated near Penrith
There is an open vaulted ceiling to the living/dining area and a wood burning stove. It is furnished with comfy sofas and a dining table to seat all guests. Relax in the evening after exploring all The Lake District has to offer and watch a programme on the SMART TV or a film on DVD. You'll find a selection of games for all the family to enjoy or you could pick up a book from the small selection you will find in the lodge.
The kitchen is fully fitted with integrated appliances (electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine) and plenty of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and equipment for guests to prepare their meals.
There are 4 bedrooms - one with a king size bed with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and an ensuite bathroom with WC, hand basin and bath with shower over. There are 2 further double bedrooms and a twin bedded room each of which have ample hanging space and drawers.
In addition to the ensuite bathroom there is a separate shower room with WC, hand basin and a large rainfall walk in shower.
Outside there is private parking area for 3 cars, a front garden with lovely views and an enclosed rear garden. There is an area for al fresco dining and seating to just sit and enjoy coffee and the wonderful views.
The property is equipped with oil fired central heating, SMART TV, DVD player and full wi-fi broadband.
Additional information
Utilities, Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided for use in the lodge but guests must provide their own beach/swimming/outside towels.
Smoking and/or vaping are not permitted.
Pets are not allowed at Saddleback Lodge Retreat.
We do not allow Stag or Hen parties at Saddleback Lodge Retreat The lodge is situated on a quiet family site and we wish to be mindful of our neighbours. Mixed groups under 25 years of age are permitted, however prior agreement is required from the owner.
The person making the booking must be a member of the guest party.
There is no EV charging point at the lodge and EV charging via the domestic supply constitutes a fire hazard and therefore is not allowed. There are charging points in the locality - please message the host if you require details.
Storage of e-bikes and e-scooters is not allowed in the property as this constitutes a fire hazard. A bike shed in our garden area can be made available for this purpose on request and at no extra charge.
