Seaweed Cottage sleeps six guests in three bedrooms and is a lovely seaside retreat boasting lots of original character. With beamed ceilings, fireplace housing an electric fire for cosy nights in and exceptional views over the beach, harbour mouth and sea, this is an ideal coastal retreat at any time of the year. There is a generous sized garden to the front of the cottage, laid to lawn with extensive planting where you can sit out during the warmer months and take in the fantastic views from the end of the garden or the raised patio whilst alfresco dining.
Located in one of the best positions in Fowey, Seaweed Cottage is a popular choice with families, couples with dogs and friends. The harbour town of Fowey offers interesting independent shops to browse, plenty of places to eat and many attractions within easy reach. The little seaside cottages lining the narrow winding streets allow you to catch glimpses of the glistening river, as boats cheerfully bob on the water. The steep cobbled alleys are fragrant from the colourful flowers hanging from baskets and window boxes, and the bustling quayside provides a great place to soak up the vibrant atmosphere and have a drink or meal whilst watching the antics on the water.
The Fowey Estuary is one of the most beautiful, unspoilt parts of the Cornish South Coast. Fowey river is a haven for wildlife and surrounded by lush rolling countryside and wooded areas, with much of it owned and protected by the National Trust. There are miles of wonderful walks around the Estuary, along the coastal path and across country.
Fowey and the local area offer numerous attractions for a day trip out including: Fowey Museum and also its Aquarium, St Catherine's Point at the mouth of the harbour, the Daphne du Maurier Literary Centre, the Shipwreck, Rescue and Heritage Centre at nearby Charlestown and Polruan opposite Fowey (take a trip across the harbour on the ferry or bring/hire locally a kayak and paddle across). A little further afield but still within easy reach you have the world famous Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock House for a taste of Victorian living, Tregrehan Gardens and Bodmin Jail to name just a few.

Additional information: There is a parking space for one car. Well behaved dogs are accepted at an additional charge of £50 per pet, per week or short break stay. Prices include heating, bed linen, electricity and towels (please bring beach towels). No smoking. Short breaks (two night minimum) available outside peak season.
