Golfing is a particular sport that is held dear in the county and golfers of all abilities and handicaps can find challenging courses within its borders. Aberystwyth, Llanrhystud, Cardigan and Borth & Ynyslas all have stimulating courses with links conditions and great views over the coastline. Aberystwyth itself is a market town that is perhaps famous for its university but also has a great vibe to it. A bustling student population means that it holds lively and energetic nightlife, combined with the history of the Aberystwyth castle and nostalgia of its old town centre.
The town of Cardigan has windy narrow streets with small independent shops and hosts various festivals throughout the year including local food festivals, Christmas fairs and the Aberaeron Festival of Welsh Ponies and Cobs for kids and adults with a sense of fun.
