The Dairy at Crynga Mawr is a gorgeous traditional stone mill recently converted to a holiday cottage just three miles from pristine Aberporth Beach.
Dating back over 300 years, The Dairy accomodates six people in three lovely bedrooms, and two bathrooms. There’s even a discrete sofa bed in the master bedroom to accommodate two more guests if travelling with children.
The self-catering cottage is a rural idyll. Picture 2ft-thick stone walls, Welsh slate floors, and classic Chesterfield sofas in front of the wood-burning stove. Families love the space and the ability to roam the woods and paddle in the stream beyond the garden.
Located ten minutes from bustling market town of historic Cardigan where you will find plenty of independent restaurants and shops as well as a few supermarkets . It's about as peaceful a place as you wish, with miles of farmland stretching out in all directions.
A short drive from the The Dairy at Crynga Mawr, you will find Aberporth Beach which is one of the best beaches on arguably the most scenic stretch of the Wales coastline. A headland bisects the sandy beach into Dyffryn and Dolwen beaches, but it's typically referred to as Aberporth. It has rockpools at low tide. The shelf slopes gradually away from the beach, and the water is generally calm and suitable for swimming, fishing, surfing and paddleboarding. It’s a short stroll along the coastal path to many other local bays all with different character and outlook from bustling fishing ports to deserted National Trust beaches.
There is lots to keep you happily entertained away from the beach. Travel by boat to spot dolphins, go back in time at a local castle, take in a show at the Cardigan’s independent cinema and theatre , explore the nature reserve or eat in one of the many award winning restaurants. A little further afield you’ll find Folly Farm and Oakwood theme parks, why not peruse the antique shops and foodie paradise of Narbeth on the way.

The Dairy is a period stone barn conversion with accommodation over two levels.
Outside: French doors open from the living room into a garden with lovely views of the woodland and stream. A private patio garden on the other side of the cottage has picnic tables and BBQ. The cottage has allocated parking.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. One well-behaved pet is welcome by arrangement.
