Serendipity Lodge 114 makes a strong case for a West Wales holiday. This new, supersized one-bedroom holiday lodge at Woodlands Lodge Retreat sleeps up to three and has on-site parking, yet New Quay's harbour is only a 15–20-minute walk away. The king-size bedroom opens onto the decking and has its own bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. A large L-shaped sofa in the lounge converts into a double bed for an additional guest, and the dining table seats four. The kitchen is stocked for people who actually cook: alongside the hob, oven, grill, dishwasher and microwave are an air fryer, smoothie maker, rotisserie-style countertop oven, plenty of pans and even an egg poacher. A separate utility room has a washing machine. The owner has included thoughtful touches that turn a holdiay rental into a welcoming home, from soft organic bamboo towels and luxurious throws to snuggle under in cold weather, to tea, coffee, washing-up essentials, dog bowls, and dedicated dog towels. Outside, the gated deck catches the evening sun and is a gorgeous place to wind down after a day of exploration and adventure.
Woodlands Lodge Retreat occupies a wooded valley at Gilfachreda, with a stream along the park boundary and a walking trail from the entrance. Children love the adventure playground and the freedom to play. Dogs are welcome, and there is an outdoor hot-water dog shower for muddy paws after a walk. New Quay has sandy beaches, a working harbour, independent shops, cafés and plenty of places to eat. Its biggest residents are bottlenose dolphins that regularly visit Cardigan Bay and can often be seen from the harbour wall or on a wildlife-watching boat trip. The town's narrow streets and busy summer car parks make the lodge's parking particularly valuable. A village shop is a 15-minute walk away, and supermarkets can deliver to the lodge.
Follow a section of the Ceredigion Coast Path towards Llanina and Cei Bach, where Dylan Thomas once walked, or head south towards Bird Rock for seabirds, seals and wide views over Cardigan Bay. Aberaeron is a short drive north, with its colourful Georgian harbour, independent food shops and places to eat; nearby Llanerchaeron is a National Trust estate with a historic house and working farm. Further south, Cwmtydu, Llangrannog and the stunning sandy beaches around Aberporth offer more walking and time by the water. Inland, lanes lead to small producers, country pubs, and a landscape that feels very different from the busy seafront. Golfers can explore courses along the Ceredigion coast, while the lodge's own visitor information and recommendations help with choosing restaurants and outings. Serendipity's advantage is the balance: a carefully furnished woodland retreat with enough space to stay in, and one of West Wales's most appealing harbour towns close enough to reach on foot.

The west-facing gated deck catches the late afternoon and evening sun, with a table and chairs that invite you to end your day there. The holiday park has a children's play area, an off-leash fenced dog exercise area, a dog-washing station, shared laundry facilities, and on-site parking.
Additional Information: Two dogs are welcome by arrangement. Smoking indoors is not permitted.
