Llangrannog Cottage has all the charm you would hope for in a 200 year old property and has been beautifully refurbished to accommodate up to six guests in comfort. Perfect for families, friends and also couples who enjoy a little extra space around them, this pretty painted cottage affords an enviable position in the little hamlet of Nanternis, less than a mile from Ceredigion's stunning Marine Heritage Coastline. Abundant with wildlife, this picturesque part of Wales is a must to visit for anyone with a passion for nature and beautiful scenery, as well as outdoor adventure with a good number of activity companies offering paddle boarding, kayaking, coasteering and sailing to name just a few.
Guests can walk from Llangrannog Cottage to the National Trust Cove of Cwmtydu. Once used by smugglers, the beach sits within an ancient wooded valley and is surrounded by rolling countryside. Perfect for a lazy day, its sheltered waters are good for swimming and kayaking with the pebble beach attracting families in the summer months and seals with their pups in the autumn.
For those who enjoy walking, the local area offers an overwhelming choice of opportunities with little lanes, footpaths and the Ceredigion Coastal Path providing access to the local beaches that pepper the coastline. There is also a local bus that runs during the summer months between Cardigan and New Quay, stopping off at the beaches if you don't fancy the walk back.
The popular seaside resort of New Quay is only three and a half miles from Llangrannog Cottage where you will find a good choice of places for a meal out, shops and regular dolphin spotting boat trips from the harbour. It's golden sands make it perfect for building sandcastles and lazy days - what better place to enjoy an ice cream or freshly cooked fish and chips, with sand between your toes, watching the boats bobbing up and down on the water?
Slightly further afield but still within easy reach is the attractive seaside town of Aberaeron, the ancient riverside town of Cardigan with its majestic castle and the historic market town of Aberystwyth with its impressive electric cliff railway and promenade.
Whether you simply want to relax or get out and about discovering the beauty of Ceredigion, Llangrannog Cottage is a welcoming retreat to return home to at the end of the day. 2019 is the 'Year of Discovery' in Wales so discover the beauty for yourself.
