Dairsie is the ground floor of 43 Argyle Terrace in Rothesay on the lovely Isle of Bute. The Isle of Bute, in the Firth of Clyde, is fifteen miles long and three miles wide. Bute is separated from the mainland at the north of the island by a narrow channel called the Kyles of Bute which is well known for its scenery. Bute also benefits from the warm Gulf Stream that enables palms and other tender plants to grow.
Dairsie is the perfect place to get away from it all yet have the convenience of a small Scottish town on your doorstep with restaurants, pubs, local bakery, excellent fishmongers, butchers and large supermarket.
With direct access to woodlands from the garden and a few minute's walk to the beach Dairsie is great for families, and anyone who enjoys being outdoors. The views from the lounge and main bedroom, and lovely log burner make it a great place to stay at any time of year for anyone simply wanting a place to slow down and watch the world go by.
The Isle of Bute is a haven for walking, cycling, fishing, bird watching, golfing, yachting and nature lovers. The villages of Port Bannatyne and Kilchattan are well worth a visit as is Mount Stuart a spectacular house and gardens.
In the town of Rothesay, Rothesay Castle is a nice place to visit and the town also offers a swimming pool and cinema. Probably the most popular beach on the island is Ettrick Bay which has an excellent café, also on the west coast of the island is Scalpsie Bay best known for the colony of seals that live there.
