Holly Bush Cottage is just perfect for couples who are looking to escape and unwind in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Sleeping two guests in one double bedroom (with balcony for soaking up the amazing views from the moment you rise!), this quaint holiday retreat nestles within the little hamlet of Deepdale and is less than a mile and a half (1.4 to be exact!) from the pretty cobbled village of Dent.
A great choice for walkers and explorers, Holly Bush Cottage is surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and sits within Cumbria, making it within easy reach of the Lake District National Park. The area is an oasis of tranquility and abundant with birds (a true twitchers paradise) with no shortage of great days out if you can tear yourself away from the beauty that surrounds!
Simply stay put and soak up the fabulous views over Deepdale and beyond to Whernside, the highest of Yorkshire's Three Peaks, or lace up your walking boots and get out and about exploring with miles of tracks and trails criss-crossing the beautiful landscape.
The village of Dent is small but perfectly formed with locals proud of their heritage and pretty cobbled village. Here you will find a choice of three pubs for a traditional pint or meal, as well as shops and the Dent Heritage Centre where you can learn about local life. Dent railway station is located just outside the village, and being the highest of its kind, it is not surprising that a journey on the Carlisle to Settle Railway will reward with magnificent views - a must for anyone visiting the area and one of the country's most famous scenic train journeys.
For those who enjoy cycling, make sure you bring your bike away as the Pennine Cycleway (Sustrans route 68) is accessible from Dent village and offers some three hundred and fifty miles of enjoyment in its entirety. There are also circular routes from Deepdale and the surrounding country lanes are a pleasure to explore by bike.
Whether you want to visit attractions such as Ingleton Waterfalls and Show Caves, Kendal (the gateway to the Lakes) or the market town of Hawes (home to the Wensleydale Creamery and Dales Countryside Museum; or simply escape the pressures of everyday life, Holly Bush Cottage is a welcoming retreat and a great base from which to explore this beautiful part of the country.

Admire the views from the decking area off the bedroom with your morning tea and enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace of an evening as you keep an eye through the French doors on supper cooking - Holly Bush Cottage is just perfect for relaxing inside and out. Off-road parking available.
Additional information: Central heating throughout keeps Holly Bush Cottage warm and cosy all year round. All electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included in the rental price, along with complimentary WiFi. Sorry but no pets allowed.
