About Upper Swan View

Upper Swan View is a wonderful holiday home in the heart of Harrogate. This welcoming first-floor apartment has high ceilings, period features, lots of natural light, and elegant furnishings. The spacious bedroom has a super-kingsize bed that can be separated into two full-sized single beds, perfect for couples or friends. A double sofa bed in the living room sleeps one or two more people, increasing the apartment's capacity to four people. The location is perfect whether you want a few days shopping at chic boutiques and dining at fantastic cafes and restaurants, you're excited to explore the incredible gardens and breathtaking countryside for which this region is renowned, or you're in Harrogate for work and want to avoid cramped, impersonal hotel rooms for something far more private and comfortable. It is also a great base for exploring the North Yorkshire Dales.

Harrogate is an attractive Victorian spa town with plenty to offer visitors in all seasons. Stroll to stylish Montpellier Quarter and give your wallet a workout at the boutiques and antique shops, stopping for a reviving pot of Yorkshire's finest at Betty's Tea Room. No one does tea like Yorkshire, and nowhere in Yorkshire appreciates tea like Harrogate. A visit to Betty's at 1 Parliament Street, the flagship store of Taylor's of Harrogate, is highly recommended. A few hours at the Turkish Baths will ease your muscles and leave you feeling as light as a feather. The traditional baths date from 1897 and are a spectacular example of the Victorian love of decoration and attention to detail. The Harrogate Convention Centre and Royal Hall are also within walking distance of Upper Swan View - perfect if you want to be convenient for an event or conference.

Once you've had your fill of town, grab your bike or your walking boots and explore the beautiful Nidderdale Valley. Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it has some of the finest footpaths, mountain bike trails and road cycling routes in the north. The area around Harrogate is gentle countryside, picturesque field and meadows, sheltered woodlands, gorgeous gardens and impressive reservoirs. Then, go west for spectacular heather moors and gritstone crags like those at Sypeland Crags and Brimham Rocks.

The apartment is dog-friendly, with one well-behaved pet welcome. Although there is no outdoor space, you are only a couple of minutes' walk from Valley Gardens.

Upper Swan View is on the first floor of a converted townhouse on one of the most prestigious quiet residential streets just a few minute's walk from the town centre. Accommodation is entirely on the first floor and reached via a communal staircase.

  • Entrance foyer.
  • The kitchen with dining area and separate living area have original sash windows that let in lots of natural light. One of the sofas opens into a comfortable double bed, and there is ample seating for settling back at the end of the day and putting a film on TV.
  • Sleek kitchen with cupboards stocked with equipment and utensils, and space for a dining table and four chairs. It's practical and stylish, with appliances including a washing machine.
  • Large bedroom with a super-kingsize zip and link bed that can be separated into two single beds. Please let the owner know your preferred layout when booking. A chest of drawers and a wardrobe provide storage.
  • Contemporary tiled ensuite shower room with a shower, heated towel rail, WC and a handbasin.

Outside: The apartment has off-street parking for one small car. A free permit is also provided for on-street parking.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. One well-behaved dog is welcome through prior arrangement (an additional £20 charge applies for a dog). Smoking and vaping are not permitted. Prices are based on two people sharing and supplements apply for a third and fourth guest.
