The Stables is a gorgeous Cornish hideaway for couples or solo holidaymakers who enjoy space and privacy but who also like being near beaches, walks and beautiful bike rides. The cottage is one of a select handful on a private estate in Penhallow, less than three miles from the Perranporth Beach.
Penhallow is a peaceful rural village on the outskirts of Truro with lovely footpaths leading to nearby beauty spots that include the Ventongimps Nature Reserve and Callestick village. Guests with a hearty appetite will love that there is a circular walk passing Healey's Cornish Cyder Farm and Callestick Farm Champion Cornish Ice Cream along country lanes with beautiful views. The cottage is dog-friendly, and there are lots of excellent walks around the area, including along the South West Coast Path and Perranporth Beach, where dogs are allowed all year round.
Cornwall's beaches are spectacular in every season. Perranporth is less than three miles away, while Newquay and Portreath are both only about a 15-minute drive from the cottage. There are plenty of ways to enjoy being outdoors other than walking, playing golf, fishing and cycling. Visitors can take lessons and hire surfboards at Newquay, while guests who use a wheelchair can hire (free of charge) a sand chair at both Perranporth and Fistral beaches. The Gulf Stream gives Cornwall some of the nation's mildest and sunniest weather. These conditions are not only ideal for a holiday, but they are also perfect for sub-tropical plants that thrive on the south-west coast in gardens like those at Pencarrow House and the National Trust Trelissick Gardens.
The Stables can be booked on its own or together with other cottages on the estate to accommodate extended families or groups of friends.
There is a large range of accessibility equipment available for guests (if required) including mobile hoists and shower chairs.

Accommodation at The Stables is all on one level, with hardwood floors and a layout that is suitable for guests who use a wheelchair or who have limited mobility and prefer to avoid stairs.
Outside: The cottage has a private sunny patio paved with sandstone. There is off-street parking and an electric charging point next to the house. Private Hot tub.
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, sheets and towels are provided. Well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior agreement from the owner. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on site. Please see the owner's website for their accessibility statement.
