About 16 Rookery

16 The Rookery is a blue plaque cottage. It was built around 1805 by John Cockshott, these back-to-back cottages were a home to hand-loom weavers. Across the end of the blocks was a first-floor loomshop and old lavatories, half of which still exist today.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. It has a well equipped kitchen with small seating area.

All our cottages are dog friendly (max 2 large dogs) and have the usual amenities you would expect from cooking equipment to towels, robes hair dryers, Wifi, washing facilities, TV, games, books and more.
