Stable Cottage Vintage Holidays is in the heart of historic Richmond in North Yorkshire. It's a charming Grade II listed cottage with space for four people in two double bedrooms,(one boasting a Kingsize bed) with children above 7 and up to 2 small non shedding dogs welcome. You can walk to Richmond's cobbled marketplace and the gorgeous Georgian Theatre Royal in five minutes and the famous medieval Richmond Castle and fascinating Richmondshire Museum in less than 10 minutes. Couples, families and friends all love this property's cozy unique style and central location, with cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops all nearby if you prefer to dine out. The cottage is also an excellent option for business travellers who like the peace and privacy of a home-away-from-home for their stay.

There are many places named Richmond worldwide, but this is the original, and arguably the best. Richmond Castle towers proudly over ancient rooftops with fantastic views over the River Swale. It's a must-see while you're in town, as is the Saturday market in the square. Richmond has a beautiful cosmopolitan buzz, and also the perfect spot for andventuring outdoors. With the Yorkshire Dales National Park on the doorstep and the North York Moors National Park and Whitby on the East Coast within easy reach, you have endless opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, climbing, and caving. Stables and golf courses are available nearby, and fly fishing for trout and grayling on the river.

The owners have carefully refurbished the property to include luxuries like underfloor heating below the stone flagged floor and period styling to give the cottage such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. Staying in such a fantastic location makes it simple to explore without a car. You're within a short walk of shops and eateries, and since Richmond is a hub for regional bus routes, you can quickly get out and see the surrounding area. Guests who arrive by car can arrange free parking with the owner in the adjoining car park, where there are also EV charging points.

Stable Cottage Vintage Holidays dates from the early 1800s with period character and decor, and contemporary efficiencies.

Downstairs:

  • Underfloor heating and a multi-fuel stove ensure the cottage is cosy and welcoming in all weather. The charming sitting room has leather sofa, wingback and Howard armchairs, bookcases stuffed with reading material, and a Smart enabled TV with Fire-stick.
  • The galley kitchen is the embodiment of country chic. You'll adore the antique timber cabinets, dresser and delft rack. Modern appliances include a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, electric oven, hob, microwave, rice cooker, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster.

Upstairs:

  • The master bedroom is a romantic space furnished with a king-sized bed, bedside chests of drawers, and a clothes chest of drawers.
  • A second bedroom has a double bed with a decorative metal bedstead, cosy bedding, and a small chest of drawers and cubbyholes for your clothing.
  • a large shared wardrobe cupboard with hangers is on the landing for both bedrooms. Including Iron and ironing board.
  • The fresh white bathroom has a shower over the bath, WC and a handbasin.

Outside: A pretty courtyard features a bench, and outdoor table and chairs shaded by a parasol. In summer, it's full of colourful, cottage garden flowers, and there's a handy bath and hose for muddy dogs.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. Two small, non-shedding dogs are welcome by arrangement. The pet charge is £15 per pet. Guests will need to bring dog beds and towels, and dog blankets to protect the bedding if dogs can’t be persuaded to keep off the beds. Apologies but we can not accommodate cats or horses.

Free parking can be arranged via the owner, and there is access to EV charging points.
