Lavender Barn is a luxurious self-catering barn conversion in Somerset. The 200-year old property ticks all the boxes not only for its high standard of accommodation, which has earned a coveted 5-Star Gold award from Visit England, but also for its fantastic location and eco-friendly credentials. There is ample space for up to 12 people to stay in six bedrooms so it is perfect for big families and groups of friends, especially those who appreciate being a five-minute stroll from the friendly New Inn pub in Halse.
The barn's location is ideal for a wonderful holiday in West Somerset as it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Exmoor National Park. Local attractions include the West Somerset Railway, which is a wonderful way to see the coast and countryside, Cheddar Gorge, Dunster with its magnificent Castle, and the Quantock Brewery. There are miles of footpaths, bridleways and cycling routes on which to explore, including the West Somerset Coast Path. Spend a day at beaches like Minehead, Berrow and Kilve, or stroll around pretty towns and villages such as Porlock Weir, Bishops Lydeard and Crowecombe.
The facilities at Lavender Barn are impressive. The barn has a separate games room and WiFi, so the kids will be happy, and a private outdoor hot tub as well as an indoor swimming pool for the exclusive use of guests. The owners of family-run Lavender Hill have spent an enormous amount of effort making sure that their holiday properties are a wonderful holiday destination in their own right, taking care of the little details so that guests do not have to worry about them.
Depending on availability, Lavender Barn can be booked together with one or more of the four other properties at Lavender Hill to accommodate extended families and friends on holiday together.

Lavender Barn is a period property which has been modernised to make it both luxurious and comfortable for modern guests while still retaining its unique character and charm. Accommodation is all on one level.
Outside: Lavender Barn has a private courtyard with a table and chairs for twelve people, and a private outdoor hot tub that seats six. The games room is in a separate building just a few steps from the main house and guests have exclusive use of of an indoor heated swimming pool as well as ample off-street parking.
Additional Information: All utilities, sheets and towels are included, and the barn has WiFi throughout. Well-behaved dogs are welcome through prior arrangement. Extras like meat or barbecue boxes packed with local produce, or external catering can be arranged, and the owner's website has information about activities for hen weekends such as baking, drawing or pampering sessions.
