Teal is a fantastic 5-Star barn conversion in a beautiful location in the Waveney Valley, surrounded by stunning countryside and within easy reach of the coast. Wheatacre Hall Barns have a collection of eight luxury Norfolk holiday cottages with guests having access to excellent amenities that include a games barn and soft play area, gym, outdoor hot tub, and river frontage with coarse fishing from the farmland. Paths for walking and cycling lead around the 1,100-acre family run farm, where the owners raise dairy cows and free-range hens as well as grow crops, and the owner can arrange complimentary bike hire for guests who want it. Teal sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms and, like all of the properties, is within walking distance of the friendly Wheatacre White Lion pub.
The Waveney Valley is a favourite year-round holiday destination with miles of country lanes to walk and cycle, rivers and lakes to sail and fish, and lovely towns and villages such as Beccles, just five miles from Wheatacre Hall Barns with an excellent variety of places to eat, drink and shop. All of the cottages are well-equipped for self-catering with ample storage for your groceries, and if you want to avoid the hassle of shopping, then it is possible to arrange for delivery from Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco or Asda. Beccles has an outdoor swimming pool which is perfect for hot summer days - spend a few hours there then catch the Big Dog Ferry to Geldeston Locks where there is a welcoming country pub and nice views.
The East Anglian landscape is breathtaking in every season. Birds and wildlife flourish in the protected areas, including the Norfolk Broads National Park which is only a few miles away from the cottage. Bird spotting is a popular pastime you can enjoy from your patio or on a countryside walk, and the kids will love the chance to see the cows being milked at the farm. There are opportunities for fishing and playing golf close by, and Beccles has several local businesses with whom you can hire a boat or canoe for a lazy punt on the river.
Nearby attractions are plentiful and include BeWILDerwood, Africa Alive, Pleasurewood Hills and Somerleyton Hall. Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Southwold are around half an hour's drive away, as is the historic city of Norwich.
Whether you spend every day from dawn until dusk exploring the area or spend your time making the most of the fantastic facilities on site, a stay at Wheatacre Hall Barns is one you will never forget.
