Pankhurst Cottage features everything you could hope for in a holiday cottage in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Having two bedrooms and two bathrooms makes the Victorian end of terrace cottage perfect for families, friends, or couples who want a little extra space. A travel cot, stairgate and highchair all help make it child-friendly, while additions of water and food bowls and a pet towel make it welcoming for dogs as well. The location in Louth is wonderfully convenient for shops, cafes, restaurants, a Morrison's supermarket, and pubs like the Brown Cow, yet being on a residential street means it is nice and peaceful.
The Lincolnshire Wolds attracts keen walkers all year round. The walk to Hubbard's Hills is popular with visitors and locals, and it's only around a mile from the cottage. Tackle a stretch of the 76-mile circular Lincolnshire Wolds Way, or follow the 14-mile Round Louth Walk. Cycling is another great way to explore both on the road and through the countryside along bridleways, byways and cycle tracks. Pankhurst Cottage is only half an hour's drive from Blue Flag Mablethorpe Beach, Skegness, Sutton on Sea, and the rest of the Lincolnshire Coast.
Louth is an attractive holiday destination. Right on the eastern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the pretty Georgian market town is a particular favourite with foodies who love shopping at the local markets, especially the Food Friday market on the second Friday of every month, and the Farmers' Market on the fourth Wednesday of the month. The town has a great choice of independent food retailers, including a butcher, grocers, baker, cheese shop, and fishmonger. Make sure you taste some traditional Lincolnshire plum loaf, a regional speciality that goes beautifully with a cup of tea and a slice of cheese (don't knock it until you've tried it!). Louth attractions include Louth Museum, the Old Maltings Antique Centre, St James' Church, and Spout Yard. Louth Golf Club welcomes visitors to their 18-hole golf course.
Within a short drive of Pankhurst Cottage, local attractions include the Humber Bridge, Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary, the Seal Sanctuary at Donna Nook, the Wolds Wildlife Country Park, and Rushmoor Farm Park and Falconry Centre. The cathedral city of Lincoln is around 45-minutes from the cottage, with more sights and attractions.
Pankhurst Cottage takes holiday bookings all year round, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds and the scenic town of Louth whenever you feel the need for a relaxing escape.
